Tuberkulyoz global sog'liqni saqlashning muhim muammosi bo'lib qolmoqda va bu kasallikning kattalar orasida kechishiga alohida e'tibor qaratilgan bo'lsada, sil kasalligining bolalarga ta'sirini e'tiborsiz qoldirib bo'lmaydi. Bolalarda sil kasalligini tashxislash va davolash kasallikning aniq ko'rinishi, diagnostika vositalarining cheklovlari va yoshga qarab davolash rejimlarining zarurligi tufayli o'ziga xos qiyinchiliklarni keltirib chiqaradi.
