This article is aimed at studying the use of drinking water, its environmental protection and rational use, it shows the chemical and organoleptic components of the indicator of the requirement for clean drinking water. If the drinking water is contaminated, of course, the health of the population is at risk. Therefore, water must fully meet the physiological and hygienic requirements of the body and economic needs in terms of quality and quantity. The quality of drinking water was expressed by organoleptic properties, chemical composition, presence or absence of pathogenic microbes and radioactive rays. Therefore, water must fully meet the physiological and hygienic requirements of the body.
